Whistleblowing
Whistleblowing is one of the crime prevention tools available to the company (Criminal Compliance) for the effective implementation of the Programme. A well-designed whistleblowing mechanism offers monitoring and control a tool to facilitate the fight against corruption and crime, thereby helping to create an ethical culture that, to some extent, neutralises corporate criminal liability.
Article 31a at 5th paragraph, point 4, is quite clear about whistleblowing when it defines “… the obligation to report possible risks to the organ within the company responsible for overseeing the functioning and observance of the prevention model”.
VVR assists its client in developing a whistleblowing mechanism to facilitate timely communication of irregularities, breaches of law and/or ethical codes of conduct, etc., to the company’s competent body, ensuring compliance with safety requirements and privacy laws efficiently and safely.
